The Safari supper held in various house in Yate in February raised £328. Guests moved from one house to another enjoying a course at each before converging on the chairman's house for coffee at the end. Safari suppers are a popular fixture on the Link's annual schedule of events.

The money raised at the first Quiz night of 2010 was earmarked for the Child Sponsorship Scheme. So far this scheme supports 18 children to enable them to complete their elementary education up to the age of 12. Through the Link childcare and early learning is provided in the village for all children up to the age of seven at no charge, but like most African countries, education after that age is not free in The Gambia. In the past ,when poorer parents have been unable to afford the fees for books, uniforms and other charges, they withdrew their children from school.
The theme of the Quiz Night was Easter, so teams were encouraged to decorate their tables appropriately.
